Agilean Solutions: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence in Project Management

    CIO VendorSarma BKP, Founder

The hipchat bot can be used to check the status of a JIRA task, but can it be used as Artificial Intelligence (AI) in project management? Since project management involves day-to-day execution and administration of projects, AI integrated project management demands an algorithm that pertains machine learning to estimate task and eliminate the manual and unnecessary job. Thus, it entails an amalgamation of bots and algorithms as project managers have a daunting variety of responsibilities. Bangalore, India-based Agilean, is one among the few companies to perceive that an advanced project management AI can automate simple tasks and can also develop an understanding of key project performance. Setting the bar a little higher, Agilean developed a voice-powered automated workflow project management platform by leveraging AI and the natural language processing.

This SaaS-based tool helps small and medium IT companies of various verticals for project planning, execution, monitoring, control, and continuous learning. The company inculcates AI in its tools to handle project management in real-time. “AI system can lend about the overall project performance including the past as well as the present, and as the project progresses AI can generate the pattern and calculate cost and schedule performance,” says Sarma BKP, founder of Agilean. The use of AI in the tool can forecast the success rate of the project based on work report and procedural rules.

Therefore, adopting this technology, the company customized their user-friendly tools. With a goal to turn data into information and information into insight, Agilean developed Kanban and Scrum.

Agilean-Kanban helps optimize the work process while lowering the cost and speeding up the process. Enabling a 360-degree workflow visibility, the product helps in planning, scheduling, and identifying the resources needed. “A standup meeting’s runtime discussion in an audio format, which could likely be changed into a systematic text format and later converted to mp3, would allow you to get ready for the next session in the car itself! This feature helps our clients develop a better team relationship and build an excellent communication with its automated action points and improves team performance,” adds Sarma.

With more than 50 built-in temp-lates, Kanban can take over a vast majority of administrative activities. After talking to their stakeholders and gathering their requirements, Agilean also developed Scrum methodology, which gives an estimation of the sprints that helps teams to become more accurate and efficient.

Scrum and Kanban's success in meeting users expectations has made the company a proud winner of “Raising Star Award for 2017” and the prestigious “Great User Experience Award” by FinancesOnline. Agilean made a seamless integration with Slack to give project managers an advanced team management and workflow solutions. This enables their clients to see the progress of tasks and issues. Agilean's integration with Github helps maintain a unified working environment for developers, allowing their customers to work directly via Github and avoid manual updates. Even though software development companies have been using project management solutions for some time, Agilean with its advanced solutions is penetrating into every industry, to create a revolution in terms of how work is done in different verticals. The company with its machine collaboration has helped their clients strengthen workflow engagement. In future, the company plans to come up with an advanced product named Agilean Hybrid to offer a superior solution to its customers.
